Kitchenhand / Cook – Bentleys Hotel, Clare
15–30+ hours per week | Casual or Part-Time | Clare, SA

Bentleys Hotel is looking for one or two experienced Kitchenhands / Cooks to join our kitchen team. This role suits someone with experience in a busy commercial kitchen who is confident doing more than traditional kitchenhand duties. You may have experience cooking on fryers, pizzas, salads, or basic food preparation, or you may be currently studying cookery and looking to build your skills and experience in a working kitchen.

About the Role

Working as part of our kitchen team, your duties will include:

• Kitchenhand and dishwashing duties
• Basic food preparation
• Cooking simple menu items including fryers, pizzas and salads
• Assisting chefs during busy service periods
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen
• Following food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
• Receiving, storing and rotating stock
• Supporting the wider kitchen team wherever required

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
• Has some hands-on cooking experience or is currently studying cookery
• Understands food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
• Can work quickly and efficiently under pressure
• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
• Is reliable, organised and willing to get stuck in
• Can work independently while also being a strong team player
• Is available across a range of shifts, including nights and weekends

Hours & Employment
Approximately 15–30+ hours per week are available, depending on experience and availability. This role can be casual or part-time.

We are open to appointing one or two successful candidates, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for regular hospitality hours alongside study, other commitments or another role.
