About the role

\n

\n
• Ensuring the activities of the School are operated effectively and providing a qualityservice to the students and staff.
\n
• Lecturing in agreed subject areas and managing teaching and assessment of units beingdelivered.
\n
• Producing research and/or scholarship that informs learning and teaching, and curriculuminnovation and development.
\n
• Providing administrative support to the Head of School and other academic staff.
\n
• Provision of field education liaison duties to students undertaking their practicum placementand experience.
\n
• Contribute to course and unit coordination duties and program development and curriculumdesign.
\n

Selection Criteria

\n

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

\n

\n
• Hold a PhD qualification in relevant discipline (desirable).
\n
• Hold a qualifying Social Work degree with eligibility for membership with AASW (essential).
\n
• A background in Higher Education spanning experience teaching at a tertiary level and including curriculum development and modification and/or a background in fieldwork, spanningfrontline experience in a complex service environment, e.g. hospital settings or the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).
\n
• Ability to teach and model practical, real-world skills to students and early-careerprofessionals
\n
• Ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with staff and students.
\n
• An understanding of current and emerging trends in Social Work Education and training.
\n
• Technological literacy and experience in online education and communication platforms.
\n
• Demonstrated awareness of, and sensitivity to, diversity with the ability to work withstudents, staff, and administrators, including pastoral skills in mentoringstaff and supporting students.
\n
• Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation.
\n
• Full Australian working rights.
