About the Role

Provide high-quality child and family health nursing services across a range of community and healthcare settings within Darling Downs Health. You will deliver evidence-based family-centred care focused on health promotion developmental assessment immunisation early intervention and supporting positive health outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive child and family health assessments
• Provide childhood and adolescent immunisations in accordance with the National Immunisation Program
• Monitor infant and child growth development and wellbeing
• Deliver health education and parenting support to families and carers
• Identify and respond to developmental concerns and child health issues
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical allied health and community service providers
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support health promotion early intervention and preventative health programs
• Contribute to community outreach and child health initiatives
• Promote safe evidence-based family-centred care

What Youll Need

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Nurse in Child Health Community Child Health or Family Health Services
• Current recognised Immunisation Certification
• Experience conducting child health and developmental assessments
• Strong health promotion education and family engagement skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams
• Australian working rights (non-sponsorship position due to contract timeframe)
