We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance and Administration Team in New South Wales, reporting to our Finance and Administration Manager.

This role is responsible for the operation and bookkeeping of the entity and is the key person for local corporate governance. The role also acts as the first point of contact for queries from staff and HQ.

Key aspects of the role are including but not limited to:

• Being the specialist with ASUS internal PO procedures, business travel/allowance policies, sample management policies and related internal systems – providing training sessions to staff;
• Periodically analysing and validating local data and reports are consistent with ASUS HQ reports - e.g. working with appropriate teams to ensure marketing spend, branch expenses, transfer pricing are in line with local reporting;
• Proactively analysing business operations, trends, costs, revenue, financial commitments & obligations; helping identify ASUS Australia financial savings opportunities and risks;
• Assisting with AP, AR, month-end reconciliation and reporting/analysis;
• Coordinating and processing staff business travel bookings and expense claims;
• Managing the company OA pool and maintaining the fixed asset register;
• Conducting periodic internal audit for marketing samples - stock take and accounting book reconciliations;
• Being the person in charge of internal sales procedures;
• Supporting the annual external audit process;
• Supporting management in any relevant Finance and Administration tasks and projects as may be requested from time to time.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience, CA/CPA preferred
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with MYOB
• Exceptional interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to follow the internal working procedure to manage various operational matters
• Understanding of accounting concepts, standards and compliance, experience with corporate governance, internal and external auditing, and financial reporting will be highly regarded
• Ability to digest and communicate complex data and process concepts in simple, actionable analyses or commentaries.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Strong analytical thinking and conflict resolution capabilities
• Collaborative, adaptable, and approachable team player
• Australian citizen or permanent resident with unlimited working rights within Australia, no overseas applicants.
