Are you an experienced Account Manager, Client Manager, Relationship Manager, or Finance professional who enjoys building strong client relationships while working in a fast-moving commercial environment?

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Client Manager - Accounts to take ownership of a portfolio of clients and deliver an exceptional customer experience from onboarding through to ongoing relationship management.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, has a strong commercial mindset, and is looking to further develop their career within the finance and lending sector.

The Opportunity

As a Client Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for an allocated portfolio of business clients, ensuring funding processes run smoothly while maintaining strong relationships and proactively managing risk.

You'll work closely with Sales, Credit, Operations, Payroll, and Client Success teams, giving you broad exposure across a dynamic and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of business clients.
• Build trusted relationships with business owners and key stakeholders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and proactive communication.
• Support client retention through strong relationship management.
• Manage the onboarding process for new clients.
• Coordinate documentation, system setup, and implementation activities.
• Introduce clients to funding processes and online platforms.
• Manage daily funding requests and transactions.
• Review invoices, supporting documentation, and approvals.
• Monitor facility utilisation and funding limits.
• Liaise with Credit regarding approvals and exceptions.
• Assist with funding variations and limit increase requests.
• Ensure all funding requirements are satisfied before release of funds.
• Review debtor ageing, collections activity, and funding exposure.
• Escalate concerns and exceptions where required.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in Account Management, Client Management, Relationship Management, Customer Success, Banking, Recruitment, Finance, or Financial Services.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and commercial thinking skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and business software.
• Confidence working with financial information and business documentation.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within invoice finance, lending, banking, recruitment, labour hire, or financial services.
• Understanding of debtor finance, cash flow lending, or working capital solutions.
• Experience with Xero or other accounting software.
• Exposure to credit, collections, or client portfolio management.
