This position involves shaping and executing the scientific vision for our nanopore-based protein reading platform while leading diverse research teams across various scientific domains.

What you'll do

\n

\n
• Develop and implement the scientific strategy and long-term roadmap for the research platform.
\n
• Lead multidisciplinary teams focused on advancing the protein reading platform, setting goals, and defining execution strategies for complex research initiatives.
\n
• Integrate advancements in nanopore science, molecular engineering, and computational analysis to enhance platform capabilities.
\n
• Collaborate with the VP of Technology & Development to align research outcomes with product development and engineering efforts.
\n
• Build partnerships with academic and industry leaders and represent the company to external stakeholders.
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Doctorate in biophysics, molecular biology, bioengineering, chemistry, physics, nanotechnology, or a related field.
\n
• Over 10 years of leadership experience in scientific research beyond your doctoral studies.
\n
• Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary research teams and successfully advancing complex technologies toward scalable applications.
\n
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information across various scientific disciplines.
\n
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to foster team collaboration.
\n

• Familiarity with nanopore technologies, single-molecule sensing, or proteomics.

• Experience in developing life science tools or instrumentation.

• The salary range for this position is between $290,000 and $315,000, with compensation depending on qualifications and experience.
