The Position
We are seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics/Technicians to join our South Roadside Patrol team with multiple full-time opportunities available. If you live anywhere betweenMandurah and the Swan District wed love to hear from you.
This role offers a flexible supportive and secure working environment where you can use your technical expertise and customer service skills to make a real difference-providing trusted roadside support to RAC members when they need it most.
New to Roadside Patrol Well train you.
No roadside patrol experience is required. Whether youre an experienced Roadside Patrol or Automotive Mechanic/technician new to the role youll receive four to six weeks of comprehensive training before working independently.
Your training includes an introduction to RAC its products services and employee entitlements defensive driving and supervised ride-along with a senior patrol.
About the Role
Working on a flexible rotating roster of 8-hour shifts between 6:00am and 11:30pm Monday to Sunday you will:
Respond to roadside assistance callouts delivering prompt and reliable mechanical support
Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of vehicle breakdowns
Perform minor repairs including batteries tyres jump-starts and adjustments
Provide outstanding customer service in high-pressure situations
Coordinate towing or specialist support where required
Maintain accurate service records in line with RAC policies
Start your day from a designated RAC location
What Were Looking For
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician with strong diagnostic capability
Relevant automotive trade qualification
Motor Vehicle Repairers Licence (light vehicle) Desirable
Current drivers licence with a clean record
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Ability to stay calm and supportive under pressure
