Build your allied health career before you graduate with a flexible Allied Health Assistant role based in Townsville. Designed for students studying Exercise Physiology Speech Pathology Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Dietetics or Podiatry this opportunity allows you to gain hands-on clinical experience while completing your degree. With part-time or casual employment options you can work around 12 days per week making it easy to fit alongside your university commitments.

No previous hands-on experience in the allied health field is required this role is designed to help you develop your clinical skills and confidence while learning from experienced professionals.

About the role

• Support allied health clinicians during client appointments.
• Prepare therapy resources and clinical equipment.
• Assist with therapy programs and client activities.
• Travel with clinicians to outreach communities as required.
• Build practical skills while you complete your degree.

Skills and experience

• Currently studying Exercise Physiology or Speech Pathology
• Completed relevant clinical placement(s) preferred.
• Current C Class Driver Licence
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Eligible for or able to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check
