Synergie Australia is seeking a skilled and practical Site Installation Technician to join the team at Systeco Australia.

This is a hands-on role involving the installation, assembly, modification, maintenance and servicing of macadamia processing equipment at customer sites.

The important parts:

• Hands-on mechanical and fabrication work.
• Work with industrial machinery and processing equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for projects and installations.
• Work alongside Systeco Australia and Systeco South Africa installation teams.
• Opportunity for someone with strong practical experience to step into a specialised role.
• Trade qualification highly regarded but not essential for the right candidate.

What you will be required to do:

The position involves the installation, assembly, modification, maintenance and servicing of Systeco's macadamia processing and curing equipment, including but not limited to the following:

• Install and assemble processing equipment and mechanical components at customer sites.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, fabrication, welding, cutting, drilling and grinding.
• Assemble and install conveyors, frames, platforms, chutes, guards and other equipment.
• Fit and align bearings, shafts, belts, chains, pulleys, motors and gearboxes.
• Read and work from mechanical and fabrication drawings.
• Modify and adjust equipment to meet site requirements.
• Assist with mechanical fault-finding, repairs, maintenance and commissioning.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Represent Systeco professionally when working at customer sites.
• Work collaboratively with installation teams to ensure projects are completed safely and to a high standard.

To be successful in the role you will:

• Have experience in mechanical installation, fitting, fabrication or maintenance.
• Have strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Have experience working with industrial machinery or equipment.
• Have good knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings.
• Have strong mechanical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Have a reliable and professional attitude.
• Be willing and able to travel for projects and installations.

Experience as a Fitter and Turner, Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, Welder/Fabricator or Maintenance Technician would be highly relevant.

Experience in agricultural equipment, food-processing equipment, manufacturing, mining, industrial machinery, mechanical engineering or fabrication would also be advantageous.

A relevant trade qualification is advantageous but not a requirement, provided you have strong practical experience. Forklift, Working at Heights, EWP or other relevant site qualifications will also be highly regarded.
