The Grounds and Maintenance Employee plays an important role in creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented school environment that supports high-quality teaching, learning and community engagement. Working collaboratively with school leadership and staff, the role is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, repair and presentation of the school's buildings, grounds, gardens and outdoor learning spaces.

The successful employee will undertake a broad range of maintenance tasks, ensure facilities remain safe and compliant, and contribute to the development of attractive and functional learning environments.

Applying and promoting the Public Sector principles and practices, employee conduct standards and equal opportunity.

Contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by taking personal accountability by identifying and reporting incidents, hazards and injuries in accordance with DfE policy & procedure, and cooperating and complying with reasonable instructions of DfE line management and WHS Officers.
