Job description

Labourforce is currently seeking reliable and experienced MR/HR Truck Drivers to join a busy food distribution operation based in Cairns, QLD.

This is a great opportunity for a professional driver looking for stable Monday–Friday work, consistent hours, and ongoing employment within a well-established food distribution environment.

The role involves local multi-drop deliveries, with drivers responsible for safely transporting food products to customers throughout the Cairns region.

Portsmith, Cairns, QLD

Shift Details

  • Monday – Friday
  • 5:00am – 2:00pm
  • Day shift
  • Ongoing work available
  • Immediate start available

Pay Rate

$38.75 per hour

Weekly pay

About the Role

You will be responsible for completing local multi-drop deliveries while assisting with the loading and unloading of your vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating MR/HR delivery trucks
  • Completing local multi-drop deliveries
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Safely securing and transporting food products
  • Manual handling of freight
  • Completing delivery documentation where required
  • Maintaining delivery schedules
  • Providing professional customer service at delivery locations
  • Following all transport, food handling and workplace safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Current MR or HR Truck Licence
  • Previous truck driving experience preferred
  • Multi-drop delivery experience highly regarded
  • Comfortable with loading/unloading and manual handling
  • Strong understanding of transport safety procedures
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • Professional presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
  • Full Australian working rights
