Technician - Resident Field Service

The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth across regional NSW region, we are seeking an experienced Resident Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the South West Slopes region and surrounding areas between Forbes, West Wyalong, Temora and Young.

This is an existing position critical to the ongoing growth and support of our Regional customer base. You’ll work autonomously in the field while being backed by a highly experienced service and technical support team.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and breakdown support across Komatsu equipment, while building strong relationships with customers and ensuring equipment uptime and reliability.

A fully maintained tool of trade vehicle will be provided.

Roster: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm

Role Located: South West Slopes region. Key areas are Young, Temora, West Wyalong or Forbes.

Pay Rate: Between $54.29 - $55.36 (depending on experience) Base + Tool of Trade Vehicle + $350 Weekly Resident Allowance + Super

What you’ll be doing:

• Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing heavy mobile equipment
• Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown support in the field
• Completing service reporting, job documentation and customer communication
• Managing your own workload and coordinating jobs from start to finish
• Providing a high level of customer service and technical support onsite
• Working safely and contributing to Komatsu’s zero harm culture

What we are looking for:

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Mobile Plant Mechanic
• Previous field service experience within mining, construction or earthmoving equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills
• Current MR Driver’s Licence
• Experience with Komatsu equipment highly regarded
