About the Opportunity

The Role
We are seeking experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurses to work in acute and sub-acute inpatient expanding specialist forensic mental health service.
Working with patients presenting with complex needs including dual diagnosis your trauma-informed approach clinical observation comprehensive assessment skills and de-escalation techniques will make a genuine impact on patients experiencing severe mental illness.
As part of a new multidisciplinary early-intervention forensic team you will deliver recovery-focused nursing care to individuals with mental health diagnoses who have a history of offending or are at risk of offending behaviours. This role suits experienced registered nurses who have developed trauma-informed engagement skills are compassionate and emotionally resilient and are able to thrive in dynamic hospital environments.
Key Selection Criteria
Minimum two years of post-registration psychiatric nursing experience.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Experience within an acute and/or sub-acute inpatient mental health setting.
Experience within a forensic mental health setting is highly advantageous.
Currently living and working in Australia.
