Our broker is looking for an experienced lending professional to join its small, established team in Cronulla. You'll play an important role in supporting clients through their home lending journey, managing loan applications and helping ensure every client receives a responsive, personal and exceptional experience.

We're open to candidates from mortgage broking, banking, lending or loan processing backgrounds who understand home lending and enjoy making things happen for clients.

Importantly, we're also flexible. This opportunity may suit someone looking for full-time or part-time employment, depending on your experience and availability.

About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you'll work closely with the Head Broker and experienced team to manage clients and their home loan applications through the lending process. You'll take ownership of applications from initial handover through to approval, settlement and funding, proactively coordinating with clients, lenders and other stakeholders to keep everything moving.

You’ll also help look after existing clients, conducting home loan reviews and building relationships that ensure our Broker remains their first point of contact when they need lending support. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll have the opportunity to develop strong client relationships, solve problems and have visibility across the entire mortgage process.

What you will do

• Manage home loan applications from initial handover through to approval, settlement and funding.
• Provide exceptional application support and keep clients informed throughout their lending journey.
• Proactively manage application progress, identify potential issues and resolve or escape them before they cause unnecessary delays.
• Liaise with clients, lenders and other stakeholders to obtain information, documentation and clarification required to progress applications.
• Manage multiple home loan applications simultaneously while meeting agreed service levels and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate client and application information within relevant lending and CRM systems.
• Build strong relationships with clients and deliver a highly responsive, personalised service.
• Proactively engage with Ark Lending Solutions' existing client base to conduct home loan reviews and identify opportunities to assist with their changing lending needs.
• Work collaboratively with the Head Broker and broader team to deliver an outstanding experience for every client.

What you will have

We're interested in speaking with people who already have a good understanding of home lending and enjoy working with clients. You may currently be working in a mortgage brokerage, bank, lender or lending operations environment in a role such as Broker Associate, Broker Assistant, Loan Processor, Lending Associate, Home Lending Specialist, Lending Consultant or Loan Administrator.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience within home lending, mortgage broking, loan processing or a related lending environment.
• A sound understanding of the home loan application process, lending documentation and credit principles.
• The ability to understand a loan application, identify potential issues and take ownership of getting things moving.
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple applications and competing deadlines.
• A genuine client-first mindset and confidence building relationships with clients, particularly over the phone.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with lenders, clients and other stakeholders.
• Initiative, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• A collaborative approach and enjoyment of working within a small, team-focused environment.

Previous experience working within a mortgage broker office would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential if you have strong home lending experience.
