Our memory care neighbourhood provides a safe and inclusive environment for residents who are living with the role$33.65 - $36.60 (Dependant on experience and qualifications) plus 12% Full-Time opportunityMonday to FridayIn this hands-on role you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance tasks across buildings equipment gardens grounds and shared spaces. You will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the care community by responding promptly to maintenance requests completing minor repairs coordinating contractors when required and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high we offerDedicated mentoring & internal/external career development programs to build and accelerate your career - Emerging Leadership Programs Senior Leaders programs and more via our very own Opal Healthcare Academy study & training along with Scholarship opportunities of up to $15000 for further education & training through local & national University TAFE & RTO partnershipsA supportive team environment where your contribution makes a real work helping create a safe and comfortable care community for our residentsStable work in a purpose-driven aged care responsibilitiesCarry out general maintenance minor to maintenance requests in a timely respectful preventative maintenance checks and maintain accurate compliance with workplace health and safety fire safety and aged care quality the condition of buildings fittings escalating issues where with external contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely and clean safe and attractive indoor and outdoor areas for residents and positive working relationships with residents families staff and youPrevious experience in a maintenance handyman or groundskeeping role (aged care experience a plus).Trade qualification or relevant technical experience will be highly in aged care health care retirement living or a community services setting is practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work communication skills and a friendly respectful knowledge of safe work practices and manual handling computer skills and ability to use maintenance request systems or complete and a strong work to complete pre-employment medical National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening nowto become an essential part of our care community with Opal HealthCare.
