About the role and where youll beworking:

Margaret Hubery House is seeking experiencedCare Workers to join our team on a casual basis.

Built in 2001 and refurbished in 2018 Margaret Hubery House supports residents with high care needs and provides short-term respite accommodation for Rossmoynes aging community.

Catering for up to 65 residents Margaret Hubery House features wide corridors multiple lounge areas and spacious single rooms each with their own ensuite. Our home encompasses design features which are of particular benefit to residents with dementia and/or mobility challenges. These include wide hallways movement sensor lighting within residents rooms and emergency call bells located throughout communal areas.

As a Care Worker you will play an important role in supporting residents with their daily living activities including personal care showering dressing and social engagement. You will help create a safe comfortable and homelike environment while delivering high quality care under the guidance of your supervisor.

Your responsibilities will includebut not limited to:

• Carefully read & follow care plans
• Assist with personal care
• Work under the guidance of Shift Managers (Nursing & Facility)
• Treat our residents & their family with respect
• Show compassion & exercise patience

About You:

You are someone who connects with the values of Southern Cross Care WA and understands the meaningful impact this role has on the lives of older people. Youre confident working independently and find fulfilment in spending time with elderly residents supporting them with dignity and kindness.

To be considered for this role youll need:

• A Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Care
• Initiative & the ability to effectively prioritise & multitask
• Great communication skills (spoken & written)
• Attention to detail for good record keeping
