Frontend Software Engineer -- React / TypeScript

What You'll Be Doing

• Building high-performance UI features using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
\n
• Collaborating with UX designers to turn wireframes into pixel-perfect components
\n
• Working closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and optimise client-server workflows
\n
• Improving performance, accessibility, and Lighthouse scores
\n
• Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning
\n
• Helping shape UI standards, component libraries, and styling frameworks
\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop & maintain reusable frontend components
\n
• Optimise rendering performance and bundle size
\n
• Debug complex issues across browsers and devices
\n
• Implement test coverage using Jest / React Testing Library
\n
• Contribute to documentation, design decisions, and team guidelines
\n

\n

Required Skills & Experience

\n

\n
• 3+ years' experience in modern frontend development
\n
• Strong proficiency in:React TypeScriptHTML5 / CSS3 / SCSSREST APIs / GraphQL
\n
• Familiarity with:Next.jsWebpack / ViteGit workflowsUI libraries (Material UI, Tailwind, Chakra, etc.)
\n
• Solid understanding of:Responsive designState managementAccessibility (WCAG 2.1)Browser rendering & performance tools
\n

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
\n
• Knowledge of Node.js
\n
• Design tool familiarity (Figma, Adobe XD)

• Experience working within an Agile or Scrum environment

AUD $110,000 - $140,000 + superannuation (Depending on experience)
