We at InfraBuild would like to invite recent or soon-to-be graduates to take part in our 2028 Graduate Program as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer.

Starting in January 2028, our program offers a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent placement. This immersive, hands‐on program provides practical learning through fundamental tasks and meaningful work. Participants will complete two 12-month rotational placements, gaining a comprehensive technical and commercial skills training blend.

\n

The program includes continuous coaching, mentorship, and formal training, allowing participants to rotate through diverse business units. This structure ensures a thorough understanding of operations and strategic initiatives, combining on‐the‐job learning with formal education.

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to

\n

\n
• Deep dive into Hydraulics & pneumatic systems, materials handling, water treatment, fume treatment Systems, Bridge and gantry cranes. Gain hands‐on experience in project management, learning to lead and coordinate projects effectively.
\n
• Explore maintenance and life cycle projects, with a focus on reliability enhancement, particularly in relation to rotational and static equipment.
\n
• Engage with diverse and intriguing tasks spanning various mechanical engineering areas

Eligibility Criteria:

\n

\n
• A genuine passion for Mechanical within the operational context of steel manufacturing and distribution.
\n
• Australian/NZ citizenship or a visa granting unlimited working rights.
\n
• Completion of an Australian tertiary degree within the past three years (or set to conclude in 2027).
\n
• Less than two years of full‐time, discipline‐specific work experience.
\n
