About the role
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our Emergency Department. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscopes Gold Coast Private Hospital this is a significant milestone in Maters commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.
Based at our Gold Coast Campus this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency Medical Services Orthopaedics Bariatrics Neurosurgery Plastics ENT General Surgery Obstetrics Cardiac Care and Oncology.
Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus casual loadingplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
What youll be doing
We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurses who thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment and are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes across the patient journey and continuum of care
- Demonstrating strong clinical expertise in the assessment management and treatment of emergency presentations
- Implementing quality and risk management strategies within daily practice
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary emergency team to deliver high-quality care
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to support ongoing professional development
About you
To be successful in your application you will have:
- A minimum of 12 months documented post-graduate experience working in an Emergency Department setting
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication clinical judgement and time management skills
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster including nights and weekends
