Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) specializes in site planning spatial information and digital terrain modeling surface and subsurface investigations rock mechanics underground structures geotechnical laboratory services flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical hydrotechnical and civil site development expertise.

TheHatch Student Vacation Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition bridging the gap between your education and career.
As part of the GeotechnicalTeam you will provide civil engineering design expertise to Hatchs commodity-based business units and have the opportunity to work across mining infrastructure and energy. Our capability spans through the whole project lifecycle comprising scoping conceptual design pre-feasibility and feasibility studies basic and detailed engineering construction and project management.

You will be working towards Bachelor/Masters Degree in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering with a strong academic record. Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.
The 12-week program commences onMonday 23 Nov 2026.Please note during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday 18 December 2026 and will reopen Monday 4 January 2027.
