Job Description

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North‐South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non‐stop, traffic light‐free motorway, and contributing to a long‐lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

\n

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long‐term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role

\n

The CPS Coordinator will contribute to the planning, procurement and development of the design through management of a number of consultants to ensure alignment with delivery requirements such as scope, staging, program and target budget. This position will transition from design coordination to a delivery role with a focus on monitoring and surveillance of contractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Key accountabilities

• Assist in the planning and procurement of design to ensure achievement of project objectives and KPIs.
\n
• Coordinate the interaction of project members in the design delivery process, including design, construction, planning, estimators and community and stakeholder.
\n
• Determine construction methodology and programme in conjunction with delivery team
\n
• Monitor design documentation progress against the program and elevate key issues to senior management
\n
• Review design documentation and assist in the stakeholder review and approvals process.
\n
• Optimize design solutions through design team coordination, value engineering and innovation. Propose alternative solutions to complex issues
\n
• Input to SiD process and temporary works design as required
\n
• Manage the RFI process and initiate and manage Design Changes where required.
\n
• Arrange and oversee the procurement of various contractors
\n
• Coordinate or undertake any support activities to ensure contractors are not delayed
\n
• Carry out monitoring and surveillance to ensure contractors are complying with management plans, designs and specifications
\n
• Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Delivery Manager
\n
• Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen in decision making and management of contracts
\n
• Manage contracts to ensure the delivery of the works does not exceed the target budget
\n
• Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.

About you :

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
\n
• Ideal candidate will have 3-7 years' experience in the field of either Civil Engineering Design or Civil Construction Delivery.
\n
• Experience on major, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects is highly preferred
\n
• You will possess knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, standards and implications for project accountabilities
\n
• Understanding of the Quality Management Plan. Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan and Projects Design Management Plan
\n
• Knowledge of contractual, legal, commercial, and legislative compliance management
\n
• Effective time management skills including sequencing of work
\n
• Advanced skills in relevant computer software packages; Microsoft Suite; Primavera 6
\n
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
