Location: Darlinghurst NSW (hybrid). You'll be office-based at least 5 days per fortnight for full-time roles (pro-rata for part-time), with the remaining days worked flexibly as agreed.

About the role: The Independent Review Office (IRO) is seeking a motivated and customer-focused IRO Grants Manager to administer and manage grant and funding programs so as to achieve the intended outcomes for injured workers across New South Wales.

\n

Working within the Legal Assistance, Policy & Strategy team, you will play a critical role in delivering grant and funding programs through rigorous, transparent and accountable processes.

\n

Administer the IRO grant and funding programs in line with IRO Funding Guidelines, relevant workers compensation legislation and the NSW Grants Administration Guide to achieve intended outcomes for injured workers.

\n

What you'll do

\n

\n
• Administer IRO grant and funding programs in accordance with the IRO Funding Guidelines, relevant legislation and the NSW Grants Administration Guide.
\n
• Assess grant and funding applications against eligibility and assessment criteria to support fair, consistent and transparent decision-making.
\n
• Monitor funded grants and recipient compliance, including financial, performance and risk reporting requirements.
\n
• Prepare reports, briefs and recommendations to support program oversight and senior decision-making.
\n
• Build productive relationships with applicants, funding recipients, community partners and other stakeholders.
\n
• Engage and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including applicants, recipients and community partners to provide guidance, support and ensure quality grant administration, reporting and outcomes.
\n
• Contribute to the design, review and continuous improvement of grant and funding programs. Identify, manage and elevate risks, issues and non-compliance to support program integrity.
\n
• Maintain accurate records, data and evidence based reporting to meet governance, audit and accountability requirements.
\n

What we're looking for

• Experience administering grants, funding programs, compliance, regulatory, governance or similar programs.
\n
• Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to apply guidelines, policies and legislation consistently and objectively which will be reflected in your decisions.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, recommendations and stakeholder correspondence.
\n
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
\n
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and provide high-quality customer service.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks, solve problems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
\n

Salary: $116,981 - $129,492 base + super

\n
