Job description

Labourforce is currently seeking reliable and physically fit Recycling Sorters / General Labourers to join a busy recycling and resource recovery operation based in Heritage Park, QLD.

This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for consistent Monday–Friday work, no weekend shifts, and ongoing hours within a hands-on working environment.

About the Role

Working as part of the recycling and sorting team, you will be responsible for identifying and sorting recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt while ensuring contaminants and non-recyclable materials are removed.

This is a hands-on, physical role suited to someone comfortable working on their feet and performing repetitive tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sorting recyclable materials from a conveyor belt
  • Identifying and removing contaminants and non-recyclable items
  • Placing recyclable materials into the correct chutes or bins
  • Performing general site labouring duties
  • Assisting with housekeeping and maintaining site cleanliness
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
  • Following all site safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Working effectively as part of a team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous recycling, labouring, manufacturing or warehouse experience highly regarded
  • Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable performing repetitive manual tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday consistently
  • Full Australian working rights
