At WSP, we're growing our Geotechnics & Tunnels team and are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist with strong Leapfrog capability to help deliver complex infrastructure projects while expanding our national digital ground modelling capability.

This is an opportunity to join one of Australia's leading geotechnical consulting teams, working across major transport, water, energy and infrastructure projects while helping drive the next generation of geotechnical and engineering geology workflows. The role combines hands-on technical work, project leadership, mentoring and innovation, making it ideal for someone who wants to influence both projects and the future capability of the business.

The Opportunity

You'll lead and deliver geotechnical investigations and design projects from proposal development and field investigations through to analysis, reporting and construction support. You'll also play a key role in strengthening WSP's national capability in Leapfrog, helping teams unlock greater value from geological and geotechnical data through advanced digital modelling workflows.

Working alongside respected technical leaders and a growing national Leapfrog user community, you'll have the opportunity to influence best practice, mentor others and contribute to the evolution of digital ground engineering across the business.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex geotechnical and engineering geology projects from investigation through to construction support.
• Develop and interpret 3D geological and geotechnical models using Leapfrog.
• Deliver high-quality technical reports, assessments and design recommendations
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets and client relationships.
• Apply advanced analytical and modelling techniques to solve challenging ground engineering problems.
• Mentor engineers and geologists and support the growth of technical capability within the team.
• Contribute to innovation and the continued growth of WSP's national Leapfrog capability.

About You

We're looking for someone who is equally passionate about technical excellence and digital innovation. You'll bring:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
• Around 8+ years' experience delivering geotechnical engineering or engineering geology projects.
• Strong proficiency in Leapfrog and confidence developing geological or geotechnical ground models.
• Experience across investigations, interpretation, analysis and design
• Strong client-facing and project management skills.
• A collaborative approach to mentoring and knowledge-sharing.
• A desire to help build and grow capability beyond your own projects
