Our client is a well-established provider of industrial motion and automation solutions, representing globally recognised manufacturers of variable speed drives, geared motors and motion control technologies.

With continued growth across Queensland, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new business opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships and drive market share across a defined territory.

This is an opportunity to represent premium engineering solutions while working alongside an experienced team of Engineers, Product Managers and Technical Sales Professionals.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities while managing key customer relationships across Queensland.

You'll work with OEMs, System Integrators and Industrial End Users to deliver tailored motion and drive solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities throughout Queensland
• Manage and grow relationships with OEMs, System Integrators and End Users
• Identify customer needs and recommend tailored drive and motion solutions
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial offers
• Provide first-level technical advice and application support
• Assist with commissioning and product implementation where required
• Achieve sales targets through structured territory planning and proactive customer engagement
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Internal Sales teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
• Travel throughout Queensland to visit customers and develop new business opportunities

About You

You're a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys building trusted customer relationships and delivering technical solutions.

Ideally you'd have:

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Trade qualifications relevant to the role
• Experience selling Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), Geared Motors, Electric Motors or Industrial Automation products
• Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing environments
• Experience working with OEMs, System Integrators or Industrial End Users
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow strategic accounts
• A self-motivated, organised and results-driven approach
