Our national Insurance & Health practice combines deep industry knowledge with local expertise and the highest standards of client service. Our team of more than 300 specialist lawyers has the depth of experience and agility to help our clients, both in Australia and overseas, to navigate the complex risk landscape and support their insureds.

About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate / Special Counsel to join our Professional Indemnity team in Brisbane. The position will involve providing coverage advice and defending a variety of claims brought against directors, officers and companies; and professionals across the legal, financial services, construction, property, and allied health industries. There will be an opportunity to work directly with most local and international participants in the financial lines market, and to be involved in a diverse range of litigated, non-litigated, and regulatory matters. You’ll collaborate with a team of specialists in their field headed up by Jordan Farr and Gillian Sheppard – principals who are committed to empowering you and your career progression.

About You
If the following sounds like you, we would love to hear from you:

• you are an experienced practitioner with 4+ years PAE in the defendant insurance space with a focus on professional indemnity;
• you enjoy building client relationships and achieving excellent outcomes;
• you remember what it was like being a junior practitioner and understand the importance of mentoring, and are happy to pass on your expertise and knowledge; and
• you are a problem-solver who values collaboration and understands the importance of strong working relationships.
