We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the team at Pearl, our beachfront restaurant overlooking Aldinga Beach.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves hospitality — someone who enjoys being on the floor, knows how to lead a great service and takes pride in creating an experience guests want to come back to.
Join one of South Australia's most respected destination dining restaurants and play a key role in shaping the service and guest experience at Pearl.
You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and our front of house team, working closely with the owners and kitchen to deliver the warm, relaxed and knowledgeable hospitality Pearl is known for.
We're looking for someone who can confidently run a busy service while keeping the atmosphere calm, positive and enjoyable for both our guests and team.
Lead the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth, efficient and professional service.
Maintain Pearl's standards of warm, knowledgeable and attentive hospitality.
Develop a strong knowledge of our menus, wine list, producers and suppliers, and support the FOH team in confidently sharing this knowledge and recommending food and wine pairings.
Manage daily floor plans, run sheets and table allocations, working closely with the kitchen throughout service.
Maintain high standards of restaurant presentation, organisation and safety.
Lead and support the restaurant FOH team, fostering a positive, professional and respectful team culture.
Train and develop staff in Pearl's service standards, menu knowledge and wine and beverage service.
Prepare and manage FOH rosters, considering staffing requirements and labour costs.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management, providing clear direction and support to the team.
Oversee reservations and guest enquiries, including large groups and private functions.
Engage with guests throughout service and respond professionally to feedback or service issues.
Oversee restaurant POS, payments and end-of-day cash reconciliation.
Assist with beverage inventory, stock control and ordering.
Identify opportunities to improve service, workflow and operational efficiency.
A confident, hands-on leader who enjoys being part of service.
Strong food and wine knowledge and a genuine interest in continuing to learn.
Excellent communication, organisation and people skills.
Someone calm under pressure who leads by example and brings positive energy to the team.
A current South Australian RSA.
