Those stories are happening all over the country.

Your job is to go and get them.

Show up at an install. Meet the customer. Capture what changed. Find the story behind the numbers. Then turn it into content that makes the next person stop scrolling, pay attention and book a call.

We’re looking for a hands-on Content Creator who can shoot, edit and publish across organic and paid social.

You won’t be sitting around waiting for briefs.

This is a new role with plenty of room to experiment, build the playbook and make the content function your own.

What You’ll Actually Do 🎬

Customer Stories

• Travel to customer homes and installation sites to capture real customer stories.

• Film and photograph the journey from installation through to results.

• Interview customers on camera and turn their experience into natural, compelling content.

• Capture testimonials, before-and-after stories, product footage and real-world proof.

Social Content 📱

• Shoot, edit and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.

• Turn longer shoots into multiple pieces of short-form content.

• Create Reels, TikToks, Shorts, customer stories, behind-the-scenes footage and social-first creative.

• Keep content relevant, current and built for how people actually consume social media.

Paid Social Creative 📈

• Produce and refresh creative for Meta advertising campaigns.

• Develop new hooks, angles, formats and concepts to continuously test.

• Work with the marketing team to understand what is converting and create more of what works.

• Help combat creative fatigue by maintaining a strong pipeline of fresh assets.

• Understand that content for conversion is different from content for engagement, and be able to create both.

Team & Culture Content ☀️

• Point the camera inward and show people what working at Smart Energy actually looks like.

• Capture our teams, offices, events, sales culture and behind-the-scenes moments.

• Create content that helps future employees understand who we are before they even apply.

Content Planning

• Own and maintain the content calendar.

• Keep a consistent publishing rhythm without needing to be chased.

• Plan shoots and coordinate travel, talent and locations.

• Maintain an organised library of footage, photography and creative assets.

• Work closely with the wider marketing team so content supports leads, sales and business growth, not just likes.

Who This Role Suits 👀

• You shoot, you edit, you post. You've got a reel or a portfolio, and it doesn't need to be agency polish. It needs to look like something people actually stop for.
• You're comfortable with real people who aren't actors. You can put a nervous homeowner at ease and get a usable story out of them in twenty minutes.
• You understand that content for Meta ads is a different craft to content for the grid, and you can do both.
  You want to build something. This is a new role, so the playbook is yours to write.

What We’re Looking For 🎯

• 2+ years' experience creating video and photography content, whether in-house, agency or freelance.

• A showreel or portfolio demonstrating short-form social video and photography.

• Confident shooting video and photography independently.

• Strong editing skills using Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or similar.

• A strong understanding of what performs across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Meta advertising.

• Comfortable interviewing real customers and getting natural, usable stories on camera.

• Able to plan and run a shoot from start to finish without constant supervision.

• Strong creative instincts with an understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling and social-first formats.

• Organised enough to manage content schedules, footage and asset libraries.

• Commercially minded and interested in understanding what content actually drives action.

• Current driver's licence.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites and Smart Energy locations when required.
