Your Role

The AI Marketing Engineer plays a key role in transforming Flybuys’ campaign delivery capability into an AI-enabled, automated and scalable communications engine.

This role will design, develop and deploy intelligent automation solutions, working directly to eliminate manual workflows, optimise algorithmic processes, and enhance campaign operations.

Key accountabilities

Campaign Execution Platform

• Design, build and evolve the execution layer that transforms structured campaign, offer, audience, creative and compliance inputs into scalable, campaign-ready outputs.
• Develop reusable components, automation patterns and integrations that support the Future of Offers strategy and reduce manual effort.

Creative Automation & Content Assembly

• Build automated solutions that generate, assemble and personalise campaign content using offer data, audience rules, partner requirements, creative assets and brand standards.
• Ensure campaign inputs are structured, reusable and optimised for automated assembly and execution.

Personalisation & Dynamic Content Engineering

• Design and maintain scalable personalisation capabilities, including dynamic content generation, Liquid engineering, reusable templates and decision logic.
• Implement automated validation to ensure campaign accuracy, quality and consistent customer experiences across channels.

Workflow Automation & Operational Efficiency

• Engineer and optimise end-to-end campaign delivery workflows from brief through review, approval and launch.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement automation that reduces cycle time, improves throughput and enables scalable campaign operations.

Governance, Compliance & Platform Reliability

• Ensure automated outputs are compliant, auditable, explainable and production-ready.
• Partner with Risk, Security, Legal, Privacy and Data Governance teams to embed controls, maintain operational reliability and continuously improve automation effectiveness through measurable outcomes.

Your Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years' experience in software engineering, automation engineering, platform engineering or a similar technical role.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building and supporting production software, integrations, APIs, automation workflows or internal platforms.
• Experience with Python, APIs, JSON, SQL and modern software development practices.
• Experience building workflow automation, business process automation or integrating generative AI capabilities into enterprise processes is highly regarded.
• Ability to work across business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, data services, event-driven systems or modern SaaS platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to designing and delivering automation solutions.
• Experience with customer engagement, marketing technology or personalisation platforms (such as Braze, Responsys, Eloqua, Unica, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign or similar) is highly desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of data privacy, governance, quality assurance and operational risk considerations in production environments.
• Experience working in Agile teams and delivering outcomes within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
