We are looking for a Group Head of Assets who can bring order, protection and polish to a portfolio of companies, trusts and SPVs, working directly with shareholders to keep every entity sound and built to last.

What you’ll build with us:

Designing structures that span borders and overseeing how they are governed day to day is just the start. You will guide boards through corporate actions, steer acquisitions, capital contributions, restructures and disposals, and keep trustee oversight sharp under the AFSL. Expect close ties with Legal, Tax and external advisers on every licensing and compliance matter.

The impact you’ll make:

Investment Structuring & Governance

• Design and implement domestic and cross-border investment structures based on commercial objectives and input from tax, legal and regulatory advisers.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for investment vehicles, including companies, trusts, SPVs and other holding structures.
• Work with boards and management teams of portfolio companies on corporate actions, director, shareholder matters, governance and policies.
• Oversee key investment lifecycle events, including acquisitions, restructures, capital contributions, distributions and disposals.
• Support long-term asset protection, ownership and family office structuring requirements.

Trustee & Regulatory Oversight

• Oversee trustee services and ensure activities are conducted in accordance with applicable ASIC and overseas regulatory requirements.
• Perform Responsible Manager duties under the AFSL, and maintain appropriate oversight of relevant financial services and products.
• Assisting in compliance, risk management and internal control frameworks for trustee and investment activities.
• Work with external legal and compliance advisers on regulatory matters, licence requirements and changes in applicable regulation.
• Oversee the administration of investment vehicles and coordinate with fund administrators, trustees, custodians, banks, auditors and other service providers.
• Support investment due diligence and decision-making from a structuring, governance, regulatory and risk perspective.

Your track record:

• Significant experience in investment structuring, family office, asset management, trustee services or funds management
• Strong knowledge of cross border investment structures and the tax, legal and regulatory considerations that come with them
• Demonstrated experience managing sophisticated group structures across companies, trusts, SPVs and other vehicles
• Strong background in corporate governance, family office operations and asset protection, with confidence working across boards, shareholders and senior executives
• Practical experience in fund administration, trustee services and the Australian financial services regulatory environment
• Sharp eye for structural, governance, regulatory and operational risk, with the ownership to see complex transactions through to completion
• High level of judgement, confidentiality and professionalism handling sensitive investment and ownership matters

Bonus points if you also have:

• Experience as an AFSL Responsible Manager, or the qualifications and experience to meet Responsible Manager competency requirements
• Exposure to financial products including basic deposit products, FX contracts, government debentures, shares, bonds, securities, Managed Investment Schemes and IDPS or excluded IDPS arrangements
