The Client Service Manager is often the first point of contact with clients on a broad array of services related to account servicing, financial plans and investment portfolios. Working with the financial advice team, this industry professional brings relationship management experience with knowledge of the financial advice process and markets to cultivate longstanding relationships with clients. This self-starter must be able to work across the team and across the firm to respond quickly and accurately to client questions and concerns.

The Client Service Manager is an integral member of the financial advice team and is responsible for delivering a consistent, positive client experience to help ensure all commitments are completed and delivered in a timely manner.

Ideally candidates for this role will have experience in a similar Client Service/ adviser assistant/ parpaplanning role and have RG146 qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitation of all administrative client queries
  • Client on-boarding, including preparation of account documentation, creation of client record in internal systems.
  • Arrange and assist with maintenance of client account and records, in line with current AML/CTF, KYC Regulations
  • IPO and corporate action allocation management
  • Preparation of client valuations, asset allocations and reporting as required
  • Assist in client asset transfers, including cash, both domestically and internationally
  • Process and monitor stock settlements, including follow up with clients regarding outstanding funds.
  • Prioritise competing adviser requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide ad hoc translation for marketing purposes
  • Establish and maintain relationships with other internal stakeholders and departments
  • Participate in department cross-training as required
  • Participate in process development initiatives to increase efficiencies
  • Proactively notify client/s and FA/s of any issues recommending a solution and timeframe
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Understand US and UK tax forms like W8BEN and CRS (preferable)
  • Understand Opt In, FDS and Client Consent (ie FOFA) forms (preferable)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education or experience
  • 3 + years’ relevant working experience in the financial services industry – ideally within wealth management or financial planning
  • RG 146 compliant Desirable tertiary qualification in Finance, Business or Economics.
  • Understanding of Broking Platforms (Domestic and International)
  • Understanding of Portfolio management platforms (e.g. Praemium) will be added advantage.
  • Client Service Manager experience not mandatory but highly regarded
