Seeking a passionate and dedicated Essential English Teacher to join a leading independent girls' school in Brisbane for a Term 4 contract.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Essential English Teacher to join a leading independent girls’ school in Brisbane on a fixed-term basis for Term 4, 2026.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging Essential English lessons across the relevant secondary year levels.
  • Develop students’ literacy, communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

You will bring:

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English and teaching.
  • Experience teaching, or confidence working with, Essential English students.
  • A commitment to student-centred and inclusive learning.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and engage students in their learning.
  • A willingness to contribute to a values-driven school community.

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification.
  • Current, or ability to obtain, QCT registration.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
