Our client is a well-established and growing business based in Geebung, supplying products and services to a broad range of industries across Australia and international markets. Operating within a fast-paced environment, they manage diverse procurement activities across heavy machinery spare parts, food products, building materials and other industrial commodities, with a strong focus on export operations.

Your new role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end procurement function and ensuring products are sourced, purchased and delivered to meet customer and business requirements.

Your duties will include:

• Raising and processing purchase orders across multiple product categories
• Sourcing products from local and international suppliers
• Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and lead times
• Coordinating export shipments and working closely with freight forwarders and logistics providers
• Monitoring orders and ensuring on-time delivery to customers
• Managing supplier relationships and resolving supply issues
• Maintaining accurate purchasing records within the ERP system
• Supporting inventory management and stock replenishment activities
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to meet customer expectations and project deadlines

This is a high-volume role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, can manage competing priorities and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer or Supply Chain role
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Experience processing purchase orders and managing supplier relationships
• Exposure to freight, logistics, export or international purchasing activities will be highly regarded
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft OfficeThe ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• A proactive approach and strong problem-solving capabilities
