Seeking an experienced and inspiring Mathematics leader to join a leading independent boys' college in Brisbane.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Mathematics to join a leading independent boys’ college in Brisbane in a permanent leadership position commencing 2027.

You will:

• Provide strategic and instructional leadership across the Mathematics department.
• Lead the development, implementation and review of Mathematics curriculum and teaching programs.
• Support and mentor Mathematics staff to promote high-quality teaching and learning.
• Use data and evidence to monitor student achievement and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Foster a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous professional growth.
• Oversee assessment, curriculum planning and moderation across the department.
• Teach Mathematics as required, modelling high-quality classroom practice.
• Contribute to the wider academic and co-curricular life of the College.

You will bring:

• Appropriate qualifications and significant teaching experience in Mathematics.
• Proven leadership experience within a secondary Mathematics department or similar educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and senior secondary Mathematics pathways.
• A genuine commitment to academic excellence and student outcomes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• The ability to inspire, develop and lead a team of educators.
• A collaborative and contemporary approach to teaching and educational leadership.

Requirements

• Relevant teaching qualification.
• Current, or ability to obtain, QCT registration.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Demonstrated experience in Mathematics teaching and educational leadership.
