Roundtree Search is partnering with a leading Sydney based real estate funds management platform to appoint an Associate into their Investments team. The platform is underwritten by significant private capital with institutional investment partners also alligned, setting the platform up for significant growth.

\n

This role sits within the investments team, reporting into senior leadership, and is ideally suited to an experienced, commercially minded professional ready to take a leading role in transaction execution rather than a purely supporting one. You'll own key work streams across the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, underwriting, financial modelling, investment committee papers, negotiation and execution, while also helping guide more junior team members.

  • Single asset property investment opportunities across commercial, industrial, retail, residential, logistics, cold storage, multifamily, self storage, student housing, hotels & resorts, and entertainment/leisure assets

  • Multi asset and corporate portfolio opportunities

Responsibilities \n

    \n
  • Leading financial modelling and analysis for the underwriting of acquisition and disposition opportunities
    • \n
  • Preparing and presenting investment committee memos and supporting materials for bid or offer documentation
    • \n
  • Managing due diligence processes and coordinating external advisers through to execution
    • \n
  • Conducting and directing market research to shape investment strategy and identify transaction opportunities
    • \n
  • Drafting and reviewing business cases for acquisitions or dispositions
    • \n
  • Supporting capital raising initiatives for future funds, as required
    • \n
  • Mentoring and reviewing the work of analysts, and helping manage individual deal processes
    • \n
  • Contributing to special projects and cross team initiatives across the wider platform
    • \n

What we're looking for \n

    \n
  • Ideally 3 to 6 years' experience in real estate investment banking, real estate private equity, IB (generalist) or transaction services — strong Australian market experience highly regarded
    • \n
  • Demonstrated experience owning components of live transactions from underwriting through to execution
    • \n
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with a rigorous, detail oriented approach
    • \n
  • Confident verbal communication and succinct written communication for investment papers, bid documentation and counterparty negotiation
    • \n
  • A disciplined investment ethos paired with commercial creativity and sound judgement under time pressure
    • \n
  • Strong deal management skills, with the ability to take ownership of a process and coordinate others toward a result
    • \n
  • A collaborative team mentality — this platform operates as one integrated team across property, corporate and funds functions
    • \n
