Treasury Analyst

We are now seeking a motivated Treasury Analyst to join our team in a newly created role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. What you’ll Be Doing

As Treasury Analyst, you’ll help ensure MoveBank remains financially strong and well positioned to support our members - today and into the future.

Working closely with the CFO, you’ll manage a varied portfolio of treasury activities within a regulated banking environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the Bank’s liquidity, cash flow and funding positions
• Preparing forecasts, financial models, scenario analysis and treasury reports
• Maintaining accurate investment, funding and treasury registers
• Managing the Bank’s self-securitisation portfolio and associated reporting requirements
• Supporting funding, borrowing and investment activities
• Assisting with financial risk monitoring and prudential compliance reporting
• Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, risks and exceptions
• Preparing clear commentary, compliance summaries and committee papers for senior leaders and the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO)
• Escalating matters appropriately within the Bank’s governed treasury framework
• Identifying practical opportunities to improve processes, reporting and ways of working

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to use your judgement, contribute ideas and take ownership. Your work will be visible, valued and directly connected to the strength of the Bank and the outcomes we deliver for our members.

About You

You’re a thoughtful and proactive finance professional who enjoys solving problems, working with detail and turning financial information into meaningful insights.

You take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments and know when to ask questions or escalation an issue. You’re comfortable working within clear governance frameworks while also looking for better, more efficient ways to get things done.

Just as importantly, you’re someone who values collaboration. You enjoy sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and contributing to an environment where people can do their best work.

You’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, accounting or a related discipline
• Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated environment—ideally within a customer-owned banking organisation
• Exposure to treasury operations, liquidity management, funding, investments or balance-sheet reporting
• Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, including experience maintaining forecasts, registers and scenario analysis
• The ability to interpret complex financial data and identify relevant trends, variances, risks and exceptions
• Excellent attention to detail when preparing reports, reconciliations, forecasts and compliance summaries
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear, audience-appropriate reports, commentary and committee papers
• Sound judgement and the confidence to raise and escalation matters appropriately
• A continuous-improvement mindset and curiosity about how systems, processes and reporting can work better
• A collaborative, respectful approach and a genuine commitment to team success

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded, but is not essential:

• Preparing ALCO, liquidity, interest-rate risk, funding or treasury reporting
• Applying APRA prudential standards relating to liquidity, capital, treasury or interest-rate risk
• Working with investment registers, wholesale deposits, securitisation programs or counterparty exposure monitoring
• Financial planning, forecasting, business-case analysis or investment appraisal
• Using financial systems, data analytics or process automation to improve reporting and decision-making
• A professional accounting qualification, such as CA or CPA, or progress towards one
