The Opportunity \n

As a Law Clerk or Solicitor in our Abuse Law practice in Brisbane CBD, you'll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice.

\n

While experience in Abuse Law is preferred, it is not essential for success in this role. We are open to applications from legal professionals with exposure to litigation, strong client management skills and a genuine passion for helping vulnerable individuals achieve justice. In this role, you’ll benefit from ongoing mentoring and development, working alongside an experienced and supportive team committed to your success.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, although we are open to candidates seeking four days per week.

With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll truly champion our clients by: \n

\n
• Assist solicitors to provide clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation
\n
• Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity
\n
• Support our solicitors to provide legal advice to each client's particular matter to suit their level of understanding
\n
• Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client's expectations
\n
• Draft legal documentation with a high degree of attention to detail
\n
• Manage and run afile load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness
\n

What you’ll bring \n

\n
• A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate, or be nearing completion of your legal studies.
\n
• A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation.
\n
• Enjoy working on legally challenging and factually complex matters
\n
• Maturity and confidence to deal with clients who may be experiencing trauma
\n
• A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great results
\n
• An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo and always stay ahead of the pack.
\n
• A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
\n
