This is a great opportunity for a mechanically minded candidate who enjoys operating machinery, troubleshooting faults and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Therole would suit someone with a Toolmaker, Fitter/Machinist or similar mechanical background, or someone with strong machine operating and troubleshooting experience.

\n

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 3:30pm & Friday 7am to 1:30pm

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Set up, adjust and operate production machinery
\n
• Operate and monitor wire machinery
\n
• Identify and troubleshoot machine faults
\n
• Make machine adjustments and equipment set-ups
\n
• Conduct quality inspections and record production data
\n
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs
\n
• Monitor machine performance and production output
\n
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
\n
• Follow all WHS, PPE and quality requirements
\n
• Report hazards, incidents and equipment concerns
\n

\n

About You To be successful, you will have:

\n

\n
• Minimum 1 year machine operating experience
\n
• Minimum 1 year wire machine operating experience
\n
• Strong mechanical aptitude
\n
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
\n
• Experience with machine adjustments and equipment set-ups
\n
• Ability to identify and resolve machine-related issues
\n
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
\n
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
\n
• Understanding of WHS and quality standards
\n

\n

Highly Regarded:

\n

\n
• 3+ years' manufacturing or production experience
\n
• Certificate II/III in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field
\n
• Toolmaker or Fitter/Machinist background
\n
• Experience operating machinery in a high-volume production environment
\n
