PURPOSE

\n

As a Business Director in our Corporate Practice, you'll lead smart, strategic work for a mix of global and well-known Aussie brands. From financial services to tech and healthcare, you'll help shape reputations, manage issues, and build trust through sharp storytelling and strong media connections.

\n

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

\n

\n
• Lead retained accounts and campaign work for high-profile clients with complex corporate communications needs
\n
• Develop and implement strategic communications plans that build and protect corporate reputation
\n
• Cultivate strong media relationships across mainstream, business, and trade outlets
\n
• Provide senior counsel to clients and manage stakeholder engagement
\n
• Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their growth and development
\n

RELATIONSHIPS

\n

\n
• Internal – you will be expected to develop strong working relationships with your colleagues, collaborators, peers and client teams. You will bring an active involvement to team and company meetings.
\n
• Clients – you will be expected to develop strong relationships with your clients, working to understand and meet their expectations.
\n
• External – strong relationships with media and other stakeholders, including expert collaborators and business referrers, by finding what they need and consistently meeting deadlines. Building relationships and engaging with the wider industry, and representing FleishmanHillard at external activities as required.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

\n

\n
• 6+ years' experience in a PR agency or similar environment, with a focus on B2B and corporate communications
\n
• Passionate about the news media and deeply engaged with the corporate landscape, both locally and globally
\n
• Bring confidence in managing senior clients and navigating complex stakeholder environments
\n
• A proven track record in media relations and securing impactful coverage
\n
• Demonstrate exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
\n
• Thrive in a collaborative team culture and is ready to take the next step in their career
\n
