Full Job Description

This role is suited to an educator confident teaching Digital Technologies (7-10) within a high-performing and values-driven State school in Inner Brisbane environment.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver engaging Digital Technologies lessons that build foundational skills in areas such as coding, computational thinking, data representation and digital systems.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages problem‑solving, creativity and safe, responsible use of digital tools.
• Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan units, share resources and contribute to whole‑school digital literacy initiatives.

About You

• Curious and growth‑minded, with a genuine enthusiasm for emerging technologies and a willingness to keep learning.
• Patient, supportive and student‑centred, able to break down complex concepts and build confidence in learners of all abilities.
• Creative and adaptable, using varied teaching strategies to make digital concepts engaging, practical and relevant.
• Collaborative and team‑oriented, contributing positively to faculty planning, resource sharing and whole‑school initiatives.

Requirements

• Relevant teaching qualification
• Current (or ability to obtain) QCT registration
• Full working rights in Australia
