We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English & Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming Catholic school in Jimboomba.

Secondary English & Humanities Teacher Catholic School | Jimboomba | Full-Time 1-Year Contract (Term 3, 2026) We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English & Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming Catholic school in Jimboomba. This is a full-time 1-year contract commencing Term 3, 2026, ideal for an educator who is committed to excellence in teaching and fostering student success.

About the Role

As a valued member of the teaching team, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality English and Humanities lessons (Years 7–10)
  • Inspire students through innovative and evidence-based teaching practices
  • Support student growth and achievement in a positive, inclusive environment
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school
  • Uphold and actively support the Catholic ethos and values of the school community

You are an enthusiastic and skilled educator who:

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in English and Humanities
  • Creates engaging, student-centred learning experiences
  • Is committed to continuous professional growth
  • Possesses excellent communication and classroom management skills

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualifications
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Understanding of and willingness to support the mission and ethos of a Catholic school
