About the role

\n

As our People Operations Specialist, you'll play a key role in creating a smooth and responsive employee experience at Tyro. You'll support our people across the employee lifecycle, keep our People systems and data running accurately, and help deliver the programs that keep a fast-moving fintech business humming. Working closely with the broader People team, you'll bring great service, sound judgement and a sharp eye for detail to everything you do. This is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract.

What you'll do

• Be the first point of contact for employee and leader enquiries, providing helpful and timely support across People policies, processes, Workday and employee lifecycle matters.
\n
• Manage employee lifecycle transactions and coordinate onboarding, offboarding and inductions, making sure every detail is handled accurately and on time.
\n
• Own and triage requests through our People service channels, resolving what you can and getting the right people involved when needed.
\n
• Keep employee records and organisational data accurate and up to date, supporting strong data integrity, compliance and governance.
\n
• Coordinate operational activities across learning programs, visa processes, mandatory compliance training and other People initiatives.
\n
• Help bring our annual People programs to life, supporting performance and development, remuneration reviews and employee engagement activities.

What you'll bring

\n

\n
• An interest in building your career in People Operations, with some exposure to HR coordination, administration, People systems or a similar environment. You might be early in your People career and keen to learn in a fast-moving fintech.
\n
• A genuine customer mindset and a knack for making People processes feel simple, responsive and easy to navigate.
\n
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle competing priorities without losing sight of the small things.
\n
• Confidence working with technology and learning new systems, with experience using Workday or a similar cloud-based HR platform highly regarded.
\n
• Clear written and verbal communication, paired with sound judgement and the confidence to know when to solve, collaborate or escalate.
\n
• A proactive, collaborative approach and an appetite to improve how things work. Experience with service management tools such as Jira Service Management or relevant HR or Business qualifications is a bonus.
