Position Overview

We are seeking a highly trend-sensitive and data-informed Buying Consultant to drive our apparel product development. Your mission is to translate conceptual trends into highly commercial techpacks tailored to our young customer base.

Please note: This role focuses on front-end development (from concept to Techpack). This is initially a Consultant position, with potential to transition into a long-term consultant agreement or a permanent full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Ownership: Interpret macro-trends and develop competitive and commercially relevant apparel products for the allocated category/collection.
  • Data-Driven Product Curation: Understand our young target audience. Utilize market data, customer behavior insights, and historical performance metrics to inform product direction. Ensure all developments align with the brand DNA while delivering a distinctive aesthetic and a unique point of view.
  • Early-Stage Product Development: Deliverables focus on the front-end development, including Moodboards, style/fabric/color direction proposals, and Techpacks.
  • Material & Trend Research: Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest developments in fashion trends, textiles, and fabrics, incorporating these insights into actionable development decisions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Business, or a related field.
  • 5-10+ years of fast-fashion vendor buying or product development experience in apparel.
  • Proven experience in apparel buying, focusing on customer preferences and market trends.
  • Data analysis capabilities. Able to read, interpret, and leverage product and sales data to validate aesthetic choices and refine the product assortment strategy.
