Customer Service Administrator
Adelaide CBD | SA State Government Department
3-Month Temporary Contract
$40.82 per hour + Super
37.5 hours per week
We are currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Administrator to join a South Australian State Government department on a 3-month temporary contract. MUST HAVE Previous SA State Government experience.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service skills who enjoys managing enquiries, coordinating information and ensuring stakeholders receive timely and accurate responses.
About the Role You will be responsible for managing incoming enquiries from a range of external and internal stakeholders, ensuring they are accurately recorded, prioritised, allocated and followed through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities

  • Log and manage all incoming enquiries within the External Enquiries Log.
  • Receive, assess and prioritise enquiries, ensuring all required information is provided.
  • Efficiently distribute enquiries to the appropriate teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure enquiries are accurately documented, packaged and responded to within required timeframes.
  • Track enquiries from receipt through to completion, ensuring deadlines and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date enquiry statuses and records.
  • Identify process inconsistencies and proactively suggest improvements to workflows and procedures.
  • Record and log all internal customer contact, including written and verbal enquiries.
  • Provide a high level of customer service while managing multiple enquiries and competing priorities.

About You We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in customer service, administration, enquiries management or a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confidence working with databases and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive approach to identifying process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Previous State Government or public sector experience will be highly regarded.
