2025-09-11 to 2025-10-13 JB STRUCTURES PTY LTD MALAGA WA 6090 PRESSURE WELDER ANNUAL SALARY: $76K - $86K PERMANENT & FULL-TIME We're looking for a highly skilled Pressure Welder to join the JB Patio and Fabrications team. You will assemble, weld, and repair pressure vessels and pipes to meet industry and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Read and follow workshop drawings and technical specifications to plan welding tasks Select, clean, and prepare metal materials for fabrication Cut and shape steel and pipe sections using torches, cutting tools, and workshop machinery Bend, form, and adjust components by hand tools, machines, or heating methods Accurately check and align assemblies with measuring tools before welding Weld pressure vessels and pipework using MIG, TIG, and stick processes, with bolting or riveting where required Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with safety standards Carry out finishing work including grinding, polishing, and smoothing to deliver high quality results Qualifications: Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (with at least two years on-the-job training), or Certificate IV Alternatively, three years of relevant industry experience may substitute for formal qualifications Skills and Experience: Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings Hands-on experience with multiple welding methods (MIG, TIG, stick) Strong focus on weld quality, accuracy, and safety practices Physical capability to handle heavy materials and operate workshop machinery Familiarity with post-weld finishing processes such as grinding, polishing, and filing Desirable Attributes: Previous experience in structural fabrication, outdoor metalwork, or patio construction Knowledge of Australian welding codes and safety standards for pressure equipment and structural work Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with engineers, fabricators, and inspectors Commitment to a safe, tidy workshop and willingness to contribute to process improvements ANNUAL SALARY: $76K - $86K
