About the Position

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie to join a busy pub kitchen and take ownership of their section. Offering $80K + super, the role suits a chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards across preparation and service. You’ll work as part of a close-knit kitchen team, contributing to daily service, menu execution, and the overall guest experience. Position Description

  • Take responsibility for a designated section during service
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes consistently
  • Complete daily preparation and mise en place to service requirements
  • Work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner, and peak service periods
  • Support senior chefs with menu execution and daily kitchen operations
  • Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and kitchen organisation
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service

Position Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a busy pub, hotel, bistro, or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of commercial kitchen operations and service flow
  • Confident working across high-volume service periods
  • Solid preparation and section management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit kitchen team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends
