Experienced Medical Biller – Specialist / Surgical
Full Time | Office-based in Brisbane or Fully Remote
We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller to join an established external medical billing service.
This role offers the flexibility to work fully remotely from anywhere in Australia, or from the Brisbane office if preferred.
This opportunity will suit someone who already has strong hands-on billing experience within a surgical or specialist medical environment and is comfortable managing more complex billing, including gap fees.
About the role:
You will manage billing and payment-related work on behalf of external specialist medical practices, logging into clients' practice management systems remotely and working across a number of different specialist practices.
What we're looking for:
- Previous hands-on specialist medical billing experience is essential
- Experience within surgical or procedural specialist billing
- Strong understanding of Medicare, private health billing and gap fees
- Experience with MBS item numbers and complex billing requirements
- Experience with Genie, Gentu, Clinic to Cloud, Zedmed or similar systems
- Experience across multiple billing or practice management systems would be highly regarded
- Background in gastroenterology, pain medicine, anaesthetics, surgery or another complex specialty would be particularly relevant
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Experience working for an external medical billing company would be highly regarded.
