Job Summary \n

As the Airport Station Manager of OOL Airport, your primary role is to provide comprehensive leadership to a diverse team comprising Supervisors, Trainers, and administrative support staff. Your focus will be on optimising performance and fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and reliability that consistently surpasses the service expectations of Swissport’s clients (airlines) and their customers.

This pivotal position entails spearheading continuous development initiatives to enhance both business and operational performance, while cultivating resilient teams with a proactive 'Can Do, Will Do' mindset, ensuring our workforce feels valued, acknowledged, and fully engaged.

Your activites \n

  Create a positive, generative safety culture across the ground handling organisation that includes strong safety reporting and Just Culture.

\n
• \n

  Drive collaboration across the operation to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.

\n
• \n

  Prioritise objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team.

\n
• \n

  Deploy data and research to drive cross-business corporate prioritisation.

\n
• \n

  Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.

\n
• \n

  Form and lead internal leaders, providing training and mentorship as needed.

\n
• \n

  Directly and indirectly manage staff with the goal of enhancing professional development and personal growth.

\n
• \n

  Manage relationships with key clients.

\n
• \n

  Ensure airports meet performance requirements and maintain operational integrity.

\n
• \n

  Proactively monitor, manage and report on Airport performance, analysing Airport scorecards.

\n
• \n

  Identify improvement strategies against industry, contractual, regulatory and internal measures, including improved performance in terms of cost and waste elimination.

\n
• \n

  Lead the team to ensure success against defined key performance criteria including but not limited to on time performance, baggage, safety and audit performance and labour budgets.

\n

Your profile \n

\n
• \n

  Demonstrated achievement in managing, motivating and leading a large team including direct leadership experience in an aviation ground handling environment with a workforce of 50 + people.

\n
• \n

  Leadership experience in a fast-paced, safety and compliance focused service operation, managing the needs of multiple clients with divergent requirements.

\n
• \n

  Demonstrated experience working as a part of a business unit leadership team and contributing to the delivery of business strategy, change management and executing performance improvement activities.

\n
• \n

  Proven commercial experience, relationship-building, and negotiating skills with strong business acumen and strategic management capability.

\n
• \n

  In depth industry knowledge, trends and developments and how they can be strategically employed to drive success of the business.

\n
• \n

  Full budget responsibility including delivering to cost and revenue expectations.

\n
• \n

  Practical knowledge of industrial relations processes including the full range of people management activities.

\n
• \n

  High level numerical and verbal reasoning, problem solving, communication, planning and interpersonal skills.

\n
• \n

  High‑level personal qualities in relation to adaptability, flexibility, commitment, ability to apply sound judgment and reasoning, and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks in a fast paced, dynamic setting.
