Insulect Australia - An Australian electrical equipment manufacturer and engineering services provider with more than 30 years in the local energy sector, Insulect delivers high-voltage and medium-voltage equipment, industrial insulation materials, custom components and technical solutions for electrical networks and equipment manufacturers.

As an Industrial Sales Representative at Insulect Australia, you will be responsible for developing sales opportunities for MV/HV products, electrical insulation materials and related industrial solutions, with an initial focus on transformer manufacturers and broader engagement with utilities and EPC organisations. This position requires strong technical sales capability, commercial awareness and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Promote and sell Insulect's MV/HV products, electrical insulation materials, composite and cellulose products, and related technical solutions to transformer manufacturers, utilities, EPC organisations and other industrial customers.
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities within assigned markets and accounts, with an initial focus on transformer OEM customers and their manufacturing requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers, understanding their operational, technical and procurement requirements and recommending suitable industrial products and solutions.
• Engage with customers during project and procurement cycles to present product capabilities, provide technical and commercial information, and support product selection and specification.
• Prepare and coordinate customer proposals, quotations, tender responses and commercial submissions in collaboration with internal sales, product, technical and operations teams.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved parameters, supporting profitable sales outcomes and effective conversion of opportunities.
• Develop account plans and maintain an active sales pipeline, including customer engagement activities, growth opportunities, forecasts and follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate customer, opportunity and sales information in the CRM system and provide reliable forecasts and market updates.
• Monitor competitor activity, market conditions, customer demand, pricing trends and developments across the electrical, power and industrial sectors to identify opportunities for growth.
• Provide market and customer feedback to internal teams to support product development, range expansion and continuous improvement.
• Represent Insulect at customer meetings, technical presentations, industry events and networking activities to promote its industrial and electrical product capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support customer requirements, product availability and tailored solutions for transformer and other industrial applications.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant qualification.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Sales Representative or in a relevant technical or industrial sales role.
• Experience in business development, technical sales or account management within an industrial, electrical, engineering or related sector.
• Sound understanding of industrial products, technical solutions and their commercial applications.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products or solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, negotiation, account development and sales opportunity management.
• Ability to interpret product or technical information and communicate solutions clearly to customers.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales forecasts and customer records.

Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $100,000 - $115,000 p.a, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
