Ringwood Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced oncology-trained Registered Nurse to join our Day Therapy Unit (Thompson Unit) on a part-time basis with flexible working hours.

About the Role

\n

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Oncology and/or Haematology. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, including the safe administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments
\n
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
\n
• Providing education to patients and families on treatment, self-care, and side effect management
\n
• Delivering evidence-based nursing care for patients receiving infusions for conditions such as Crohn’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis
\n
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
\n
• Maintaining a strong focus on patient and staff safety
\n
• Supporting patients through recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life care
\n

Essential Criteria:

\n

\n
• Current registration with AHPRA
\n
• Valid Working with Children Check
\n
• Experience in oncology and/or haematology nursing
\n
• Ability to administer cytotoxic chemotherapy and related treatments
\n
• Competency in:\n
  \n
  • PICC and PORT access
  \n
  • IV cannulation and phlebotomy
  \n
  • Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) management
  \n
\n
• Current ADAC chemotherapy competency
\n
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
\n
• Commitment to quality patient care and compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
\n
• Basic computer literacy
\n
• A current National Police Check
\n
• A current Working with Children Check
\n
• Evidence of immunisation status, including COVID-19 vaccination
\n

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and VICNMA/ANMF-VIC Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, a salary ranging from $40.4255 - $53.6980 per hour.
